I.D.E.A. Programs

Welcome to Salt Lake County’s I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) initiative!

We invest in our people through the lens of I.D.E.A. in order to achieve an equitable and inclusive high-performance organizational culture where diversity is celebrated internally and externally. Leadership has challenged everyone in the County to expand the IDEA of community by becoming leaders of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. Through our I.D.E.A. programs, we deliver thoughtful learning experiences customized to County employees to send a unifying message that, “We hear you. We see you. We are united with you.”

We depend on a diversity of mindset to help curate new directions for the content to assure the information is relevant and engaging. Our I.D.E.A. Ambassadors are employees from all different agencies, job functions, and levels.  We meet monthly to address issues impacting our workplace culture. Contact Learning@slco.org to get involved.

Not a SLCo employee? The community can get involved by connecting with Salt Lake County’s Council on Diversity Affairs (CODA). is a community appointed by Mayor Wilson. CODA focuses on equity, access, and racial justice in Salt Lake County. The goal is to broaden access to services, ensuring social and economic success for every Salt Lake County resident.
