Wheeler Historic Farm’s natural landscape and rustic buildings provide a lovely backdrop for photo shoots and filming.

To maintain the historic integrity of the Farm, rule compliance is required throughout the duration of the photo shoot and/or filming.

Photography & Media FAQs

All photographers and videographers must comply with the following rules:

  • A photo permit is required prior to any photography or videography. Permit can be purchased:
  • Permit must be visible throughout the duration of the shoot
  • Pictures on the roadways are prohibited
  • Move to the side of the trail and out of the way for all Farm vehicles (tractor/ wagon /golf cart)
  • Equipment, including but not limited to saddles, benches, buckets, etc., cannot be moved
  • Harassing, upsetting, and/or feeding the animals is prohibited
  • Interior photo shoots require building rental
  • Photos in the historic farm house are prohibited

The cost for a professional photographer permit at Wheeler Historic Farm is $10 per shoot. An annual permit is $200. Permits can be purchased online or at the Activity Barn during regular business hours.

 

Commercial photo shoots are allowed at Wheeler Historic Farm and must be pre-approved.

Wheeler Historic Farm is a Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation amenity and all media is handled by the Community Engagement team.
