American Rescue Plan Act

As part of the American Rescue Plan Act review process, Salt Lake County is providing additional consulting support. The application process includes a review by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This process ensures rules on equity and inclusion as directed and required by the American Rescue Plan Act, are included in program reports.

While the Office of Diversity and Inclusion does not have authority over program structures, the intention is to build a collaborative and supportive relationship. The following will define the intention of this collaboration:

  • Equity and Inclusion are complex systems. Salt Lake County does not expect that every program manager will have the tools to ensure all traditional barriers are accounted for. Collectively we can secure an outcome that will broaden service delivery to a much broader audience.
  • Together we can create a process and message, uniformed across county services..
  • Program managers will report expenses allocated to language equity, and outreach efforts, under a Language and Outreach Equity Reporting account.
