What to do in cases of harassment, discrimination or retaliation:

For concerns regarding sexual harassment or adverse action taken due to reprisal or discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, disability, genetic information, gender, gender identity, pregnancy, sexual orientation, martial status and military or veteran status:

Within 30 calendar days of knowledge of the harassment, discrimination or reprisal, employees or volunteers should complete and sign a complaint form with:

  • Any supervisor in their chain of command and/or a supervisor in the employee’s agency
  • The Human Resources Division Director
  • The EEO Manager
  • The Mayor
  • Any County Council member

Anyone listed above receiving a complaint shall contact the EEO Manager/designee within one working day of being notified of a potential violation of this policy.
