Community Groups

Participation in a Healthy Community group is open to anyone interested in working with others to improve the health and well-being of local residents and communities.

Staff members from the Salt Lake County Health Department participate in each of these groups as nonvoting members of the committee. The role of the health department is to provide infrastructural support, health expertise, and assistance in the execution of their community projects. The health department does not run the group or dictate the direction the healthy communities take in addressing their self-identified health issues.
