What do I need in order to apply for a Business License?

If you are in the unincorporated area of Salt Lake County call (801) 468-2000 for an application. After you have completed and submitted an application for a Business License an Information Specialist will determine if your business may be conducted at the location requested. After zoning compliance has been determined the fees will be collected. Fees will depend on your type of business, number of employees, vehicles, etc.

 

If you will be conducting a business from your home it is best to consult our Information Specialist first at (801) 468-2000. You may be required to apply for a Home Occupation Conditional Use Permit.
