Overview
The Public Works and Municipal Services Department strives to maintain a high quality of living for residents of Salt Lake County by providing services vital to our community. The Department provides services both County-wide, as well as services to specific government agencies through inter-local cooperation agreements.
Some of the services provided include animal control and animal care, flood control projects and maintenance, water quality stewardship, street and streetlight construction and maintenance, snow plowing, sidewalk construction and maintenance, storm drain construction and maintenance, purchasing and maintenance of over 2500 vehicles, providing and managing fuel supply to County and contract agencies, as well as many other services.
