Religion

The Salt Lake Valley was settled by L-D-S, or "Mormon" pioneers in 1847. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints remains the predominant religion in the state. Nevertheless, the county is home to a diverse variety of churches to serve residents and visitors of many different faiths.
