The Office of Business and Economic Development was created in 2002 by
the Mayor to better organize and coordinate
the development efforts within Salt Lake County. A major focus of the Office
of Community and Economic Development is to encourage business expansion,
development, or relocation within Salt Lake County. This is done by highlighting
some of the benefits, such as:

The Office of Community and Economic Development collaborates its efforts
