Aimee was elected by her colleagues to serve as Salt Lake County Council Pro Tem. She is also a member of the Jordan River Commission and a board member for Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District. She believes that being collaborative and reaching across the aisle are essential in her role on the county council.
As a small business owner, Aimee grew a mortgage business and started her own communications firm. Prior to joining the county council, Aimee was the communications director for Taylorsville City where she focused on making government more transparent and improving community outreach. She has temporarily stepped away from her career to give full-time focus to the county council.
Aimee served as vice-chair for the Taylorsville Economic Development committee, eight years as a planning commissioner, and five years on the Granite School District Community Council.
She graduated from Taylorsville High School, Ricks College and the University of Utah, where she received her BS in Mass Communications.
Aimee and her husband, Matt, have been married for over 20 years and enjoy their four children. In her spare time she loves to read, play the piano and travel with her family.
