Salt Lake County operates and maintains flood control and drainage facilities both in unincorporated County as a municipal service and County-wide as a service to all County Cities and Towns.
The municipal service consists of storm drainage service on a local level, conveying runoff to streams, canals, major systems or the Jordan River. The County-wide system consists of streams, canals, major systems and the Jordan River, conveying local runoff safely and efficiently to the Great Salt Lake.
