CJS Pre-Trial Services
Pre-Trial services offers release, supervision, and tracking for eligible defendants released after booking into the Salt Lake County Jail. Jail screeners interview every defendant booked into jail to determine if release is appropriate based.
After a person is released from jail, Pre-Trial staff members provide case management services until there is a plea or finding of guilt, or the case is dismissed.
Pre-Trial Services include;

- Misdemeanor Own Recognizance-Release
- Surrender Program
- Mental Health Court
- John Offender Program
- Day Reporting Center
