Submitting Bids

All formal sealed bids are opened on the date and time stated in the bid documents. Bidders and the general public are invited, but not required, to attend the formal bid openings. At the bid opening, prices are read aloud to the public as practical. No decisions related to the award will be made at the bid opening.

For Request for Proposals, only the names of the proposal offerors are announced at the opening. No other information contained in the proposals is made available until a written contract has been executed.

It is the bidder's sole responsibility to ensure that their bids or proposals are received prior to the time and date specified on the bid documents. Late bids will not be opened regardless of the degree of lateness or the reason for being late.

All bids must be signed in ink and placed in a sealed envelope with the bid or quote number and date of bid opening marked on the outside of the envelope.

Modifications or corrections that are received after the closing time specified will not be considered.

Prices must be quoted FOB Salt Lake County's designated delivery point unless noted on the bid documents and considered in the evaluation of award.

No charges for delivery, drayage or insurance permits will be paid by the County, unless noted on the bid response.
