Interim Group
PLEASE READ: If you are involved in Family Dependency Drug Court, the DORA program, DCFS, or are HIV positive please do not call Interim Group Services (IGS). Call the Salt Lake County Behavioral Health Services at (385) 468-4707, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm to schedule an assessment.
What is Interim Group?
This service is designed to provide support and guidance to individuals as they prepare to enter substance abuse treatment and are waiting admission to a Salt Lake County-funded treatment agency. Groups are unstructured and clients can contribute as much as they feel comfortable. Individuals at all stages of recovery are welcome to attend Interim Groups and are encouraged to participate.

Bus tokens are provided to those in need of assistance with transportation.
Attendance and Assessment:
No notice is required to attend Interim Groups. Individuals can simply show up and come as often as they wish. Once individuals are admitted to a treatment agency they can no longer attend groups.
